While filling out the application, please remember:
Answer all of the questions as they relate to the term for which you are applying. For example, if you graduated high school in June 2009 and are applying for admission in Fall 2009, then you will be a "First Time Student." If you took classes at NVC two or more years ago (and haven't taken any classes here in the past three years) then you will be a "Returning Student."
New Students -- Complete the online application for admission. If you think you may not complete the application in one sitting it is very important for you to write down the username and password you create to use this system--you will need it again to resume work on your application. However, the username and password you create is only for this application process. You will also need an e-mail address--if you don't have one here are instructions and resources for obtaining a free e-mail address. 24-business hours after you submit your application for admission you will be able to access the NVC online student system WebAdvisor (accessible from our website).
High School Students (Special Admit, K-12) -- If you are a Special Admit student enrolling in college courses and have not graduated from High School prior to the start of the semester, you will need to complete, sign, and submit a Permit to Attend form in addition to completing this online application. You should also review the High School Student Checklist.
Continuing Students -- If you attended classes at NVC in summer or fall of 2009, then you are considered a Continuing Student for the spring 2010 semester. DO NOT complete this online application; instead go to the WebAdvisor page to determine your priority and registration dates or register.
Returning Students -- If you have attended classes at Napa Valley College within the past two (2) years or think you have, please do not fill out this application. Complete the Residency Reclassification Form and submit with documentation to the Admissions & Records Office. For more information call Admissions & Records at (707) 253-3005.
International Students -- If you are a citizen of another country visiting or planning to visit the United States to study on an F-1 Student Visa, complete this application, then YOU MUST follow these Steps For Admission.
