Welcome to the MiraCosta College Online Application site. Thank you for choosing MiraCosta College as a destination for your higher education.

Please be aware that regulations require that an online application may only be submitted by the student. At the point of submission you will be affirming that the application data belongs only to you. Submitting an application for another person is not allowed.

YOUR STUDENT ID WILL NOT BE MAILED. Once your application is processed by the college (see below for approximate dates for processing) YOU MUST RETRIEVE YOUR OWN ID THROUGH OUR SURF SYSTEM OR IN PERSON.

SUMMER 2010 – We are no longer accepting Summer 2010 applications online.

FALL 2010 – Applications may be submitted now and will be processed beginning late June 2010. After processing, applicants will receive an information packet in the mail or via email giving more information on the enrollment process.

Once we process your application, you will need to retrieve your SURF ID and Password by going to the surf.miracosta.edu website. You will be asked a series of questions which will allow you to obtain your ID and set up a password. If you do not submit your social security number, we will assign and mail a substitute number that will be needed to obtain your SURF ID online - OR - you may come to A&R and by showing a picture identification, you may obtain your SURF ID number.

Classes fill quickly, and it is important to submit your application as soon as possible.

NOTE to HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. Beginning with the Fall 2010 semester, concurrently enrolled high school students may not enroll in classes ahead of adult students. The earliest enrollment date for high school students will be August 9^th. Class availability will be limited due to many classes being full.

Some applicants may need to provide additional materials to complete the application process. Examples of these types of applicants include high school students and recent California residents. These applicants will be contacted by mail or email to provide any additional paperwork. If you have questions, contact Admission & Records at 760-795-6620 or 760-634-7870.

How to Use the MiraCosta College Online Application

To complete the online application, simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the popup lists (where applicable).

After you complete a screen, click the [Next] button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.

Once you have completed the application, click the [Submit] button located on the left column to submit the application.
